Premarital counseling
Give yourself and your partner the gift of transparency and solidarity in this intimate session where we sit down to review relationship expectations and both individual and shared goals. This is also an opportunity to work through concerns and develop strategies to combat issues that may arise in the future. You will receive a personalized document reflecting the topics covered, statement of goals, and various exercises to try that are specific to your identified issues.
Navigating in-law conflict
Are you struggling in your marriage due to conflicts with your in-laws? You are not alone. In a US study conducted in 2022, 75% of couples reported having issues with their inlaws. In our work together I will provide psychoeducation to help you better understand the complexities of family dynamics, teach more effective communication skills, and empower you to create a voice to clearly convey your needs and address concerns.
Prenatal/Postpartum depression
If you are pregnant and struggling to find joy or have just had a baby and feel a deep sense of sadness and unease, this service is for you. Grief is a natural part of becoming a parent and it is often overlooked or minimized. I will help you prepare for this life changing chapter by allowing you to process change and grieve without judgement, identify goals as a parent, and explore ways to reconnect with parts of yourself that you feel disconnected from.
Bicultural Identity
Many folks who are a product of 2 or more cultures often struggle to find a good balance and strong sense of identity. They may struggle with feeling like they are never enough of one culture or too much of it, causing them to lack a sense of belonging and experience immense shame and guilt. Together we can tease apart facets of your cultural makeup that resonate with you and those that don’t align with your belief system to help you create a balance that embodies your most authentic self.
Family Conflict
If you are struggling to maintain a healthy relationship with a parent/s or sibling/s or any relative from extended family, we can use a systemic framework to look at dysfunctional patterns, intergenerational trauma, and create opportunities to reroute toxic cycles to create more meaningful interactions.
